Here youll be leading a department of 50 Business Intelligence and Web Application Developers through5 direct reports.As your new company continue to expand internationally, so does their volume of real time, OLTP data which requires complex reporting and development, within a highly compliant framework.You will oversee and grow a team which includes some of the best SQL Server database developers, reporting analysts and data warehouse developers in the business. These SQL Server experts are so good that they not only read the books, but they could writethem, too!Youll be a hands-off Development Manager though your past technical background (likely to be SQL Server and .NET) will be invaluable in understanding what your teams are doing and inform how you can improve processes, delivery and propose future data strategy.Any experience working with external auditors and 3rd parties will be really useful.Your new company invest hugely in tech and your role as Head of Software Development will see you delivering Business Intelligence solutions which havent been developed before at this scale.Youll benefit from a wider leadership group within Software Engineering to develop your own skills.Youll be part of an established structure in place which recognises and rewards performance, and they have a strong staff retention rate too.Youll enjoy working within an informal environment where people cant afford to get tied down with bureaucratic processes or meetings about meetings.£90k package with car and bonus on offer.
