Head of Service Design and TransitionManchester/Remote£57K- £70KA Head of Service Design and Transition is required for our public sector client. In this crucial leadership role, you will oversee the design, transition, and assurance processes, ensuring seamless integration of strategic IT solutions. As a key memberof the divisional leadership team, youll provide strategic direction, anticipate challenges, and drive performance to optimise service delivery.Responsibilities:• Leadership and strategy- Lead the Service Design and Transition and IT Change Management functions, ensuring seamless integration into the operational environment.• Develop and implement service design and transition strategies and principles crucial for creating end-to-end service designs facilitating seamless transitions into live operations.• Evaluate cost-effectiveness of different strategies and recommend adjustments for improved value.• Communicate Service Design and Transition performance and improvements to the IT Leadership Team and stakeholders, presenting regular reports.• Stakeholder Management- Cultivate strategic customer relationships internally and externally, understanding needs and ensuring expectations are met.• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements, facilitating smooth transitions from project to live service.• Negotiate with relevant parties to address implementation issues, minimizing disruptions to strategic projects.• Ensure transition activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.• Lead development and implementation of organizational policies governing design practices, incorporating legal compliance considerations.• Ensure compliance with applicable legal frameworks to uphold the integrity and security of IT operations.• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement within Service Design and Transition function, incorporating insights for ongoing enhancement.• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for teams, implementing and reviewing systems for efficiency and effectiveness.• Analyze performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for increased efficiency.• Manages, supports and guides the work of groups of staff in line with the operational needs of the Service Design and Transition and IT Change Management teams.Requirements:• Extensive experience in Service Design, Transition, and Change Management.• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.• Familiarity with IT service management tools and technologies.• Advanced ITIL 3/4 qualification required.
