Job Description

Would you like to assist in shaping and defining commercial maturity within NHS Shared Business Services Are you resilient and adaptable to changeThe Integrated Procurement Services team within NHS Shared Business are seeking an experienced senior procurement services professional who can lead and drive forward the procurement services we deliver to NHS customers. This role pivotal in ensuring smoothdelivery of our transactional services, which include low value procurement, purchase order processing and requisition management.This is a hybrid working role with the requirement to attend your local office twice a month.We can offer great career progression opportunities, ability to be based anywhere across the UK, benefits which you can flex to meet your needs and training and development opportunities.What you will be doing:

  • Leadership and accountability for the successful delivery of services to customers, including efficiency, timeliness, quality, and accuracy of your team’s delivery.
  • Management of customer relationships, building rapport and confidence with existing customers and developing additional opportunities beneficial to both parties.
  • Being accountable for contract effectiveness for customers, delivering against expectations, aligning service delivery, gathering, and progressing any commercial aspects.
  • Supporting delivery of service transformation programme, focusing on systems, and developing operational capability, gaining wider business projects and dependencies to ensure that goals are reached within budget, timescales and with minimal/manageablerisks.
  • Supporting migration activities for new client(s) to establish a high-quality procurement service, ensuring expectations are met whilst ensuring contractual key performance and financial targets are also met.
  • Delivering a diverse portfolio of work, prioritising requirements whilst meeting targets across a wide geographical area with the requirement to travel regularly and at short notice.
  • Identifying and handling anticipated resistance to change by leading change management implementation activities with teams.
  • Driving collaboration across business units and finding opportunities for customer savings and increased efficiency.
  • Developing operational capability across the team, with a focus on contract compliance and use of technology to drive efficiencies and improved outcomes.
What you will bring:
  • Significant experience within a senior procurement role with a strong understanding of financial procurement processes and systems.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and cultivate relationships at a variety of collaborator levels both internally and with the customer.
  • Working knowledge of business intelligence, data analytics and procurement systems.
  • Experience of working within or for the public sector with a proven understanding of procurement regulations.
  • Degree in business or project management related areas.
