AxonMoore is exclusively recruiting a Group Financial Controller on behalf of a rapidly growing, highly acquisitive and forward thinking, global PLC based in Manchester.Continually evolving, driving forward, and setting new standards in the sector, this is a business with a great history and an upward trajectory ahead.The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for strong accounting and reporting throughout the group and will play a key part in ensuring that the appropriate policies, procedures and processes are in place to ensure an effective control environment; providing key strategic information to the leadership to inform decision making and drive business performance.This senior leadership role will help to drive a high performance culture across the Group and will also present the chance to have significant involvement with ongoing Operational and Commercial activities across the group including M&A integration work, working capital management including BS and cashflow reporting, continuous improvement projects and business partnering with numerous stakeholders across the Senior Leadership Team.The Group Financial Controller will be a technically strong ACA/ACCA qualified accountant, ideally trained within Big4/Top 10, on an upward trajectory in their career with a strong academic background and the ability to deal with complex accounting and audit issues. Experience of working in a large international business will be highly beneficial as well as experience of operating in a PLC environment with a culture of strong corporate governance. Candidates coming straight from practice at a senior level will be considered as well as those already operating within industry.You must have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and be able to positively influence finance and non-finance stakeholders.
