SJC Partners is currently managing the recruitment process for the hire of a Corporate Finance Researcher to join an innovative mergers and acquisitions business.This business adopts a unique research-led deal origination model focused on assisting businesses and investment teams in their acquisition search process. The business is experiencing an exciting period of growth and hence is looking to bring in a researcherto join their in-house research function.The market is buoyant with a large volume of companies, private equity houses and other investment teams seeking to acquire off-market businesses i.e. businesses that are not yet available for sale.This business works with acquisitive clients to understand their search criteria and source businesses within the UK and beyond that match their clients criteria, providing financial and non-financial information on each business to assist decision making;they specialise in uncovering businesses that their clients would not otherwise be aware of, or have access to. Once the research process has been completed, this organisation proactively approaches businesses on behalf of their clients to make introductionsto companies on their clients target list.In this role, the successful candidate will be trained up on M&A research tools and will work across a broad range of sectors, gaining significant commercial exposure and playing an integral role within this research-led organisation. This is a rare opportunityto play a central role in helping companies acquire other companies.Applicants should have a business degree or similar evidence of commercial nous/an ability to quickly understand new markets and prior research experience.This is a remote working position within an exciting, growing business and consequently this role will suit a self-starter with a strong work ethic. This position offers fully remote working.
