Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager for our client within the retail and e-commerce market. This role requires strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage logistics processes efficiently.Client DetailsOur client is a leading player in the Retail industry, boasting a significant presence across the market. They specialise in providing high-quality products to their customers, both B2B and B2C with a keen focus on excellent service and sustainable businesspractices.DescriptionGeneral Manager will be responsible for:

  • Oversee and managing a 24/7 logistics operations efficiently
  • Implement strategic plans to boost productivity and profitability
  • Enhance their automation across the operation
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Create collaboration and cohesion across the teams
  • Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels
  • Implement and manage budgets effectively
  • Provide regular reports on department performance
  • Lead and improve the H&S processes for the site
ProfileA successful General Manager should have:
  • Proven experience in a senior role within the Retail and e-commerce
  • Demonstrate leadership ability across a 24/7 operation
  • Previous experience within automated operations
  • Management of budgets and P&L
  • WMS implementation
  • Success with carrier management and confident with negotiations
  • Previously worked within retail peaks, and the management of agency
  • Logistics distribution and supply chain
Job OfferThe General Manager will receive up to £70,000 dependant on experience, and must be commutable to Manchester. There is opportunity for you to add innovation to the operation and business as they continue to expand.
