Job Description

We are currently sourcing for a progression role within a well-established Finance team. It will be a key role within a fast-growth organisation whose revenue is growing year-on-year globally! You will be the reporting directly into the number one in financeand be the go-to for the transactional finance team and Management Accountants. This is a key role within the business and will business partner with Senior heads across the Group finance function and wider business.You will lead the teams responsible for transactional processing for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, along with the Preparation of Management Accounts, Statutory Accounts, Budgets, Forecasts and other ad hoc reporting. This is an excellent opportunityfor a current Financial Controller or a Finance Manager/Management Accountant looking to make the step up. You will help interpret and analyse the Profit & Loss account, providing both support but also constructive challenge to the relevant business headsto seek optimal balance between financial performance and departmental objectives.Key Role Metrics

  • Month end close by end of working day 2 and reporting in line with Group deadlines
  • Errors less than 1% of monthly EBITDA
  • Insightful reporting and analysis of variances
  • Ownership of P&L and Balance Sheet for PBSUK. Deep level of understanding of the transactions going through the ledger and robust support for the balance sheet
  • Oversee all new business and renewal pricing and strategy, ensuring it is both profitable and competitive
  • Create and implement a framework for robust and detailed reporting around operational KPIs, including financials, efficiency projects and staffing - linking to both business and Group reporting requirements
  • Prepare and present financial analyses to key stakeholders - identifying emerging trends or themes in metrics to positively impact future performance
  • Ensure that key financial controls and are designed, documented and executed. Ensure that key reconciliations are performed and fully understood
  • Analysis and challenge of costs that are not in line with procurement policies and budgets / forecasts
  • Completion of VAT return and other ad-hoc tasks
  • Ensure members of teams have clear development and progression objectives
  • Developing team KPIs, monitoring performance of the team against those KPIs and timely intervention to address issues.
Improving performance of team members and early intervention to address any performance issuesQualifications/Experience
  • Have a recognised accountancy qualification ACCA/CIMA/ACA
  • Possess strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident self-starter and commercial acumen
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines
  • Have strong Excel skills and the ability to self-serve on information requirements
  • Possess strong communication skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships within the finance function, and the wider business
  • Well developed skills in written presentation and narrative
