  • In this role, you’ll be undertaking a range of grounds maintenance work within your assigned region to landscaped areas, gardens and open spaces owned by the Group.You’ll provide general maintenance for hard and soft landscaped areas owned by the Group, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, litter picking, clearing leaves and shrub bed cultivations.
  • Providing a rapid, flexible response to the removal of fly tipping, rubbish removal and graffiti removal is also important to this role as well as always maintaining safe working practices when utilising appropriate hand tools and machinery.
  • You’ll report health, safety and environmental breaches and issues to the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor in line with the agreed escalation route and apply ‘Our Riverside Way’ within the environmental offer by always delivering excellent levels of customerservice.
  • Your community insight will involve reporting any environmental issues, community safety or resident feedback to the Environmental Supervisor as appropriate and in line with the agreed escalation route.
  • As a people person, you’ll maintain effective relationships with colleagues on each of our contracts and work collaboratively and flexibly across all teams within the organisation.We’ll rely on you to ensure work activities are compliant with the organisation’s policies and procedures as well as external statutory and regulatory obligations.
We are looking for someone with:
  • Environmental Services / grounds maintenance experience, an ability to undertake manual work and is customer focussed with excellent communication skills.
  • A clean driving licence is a must, as are basic IT skills including Microsoft Office and being an excellent team player who can work flexibly to meet business requirementsThough by no means necessary, successful completion of a horticultural course would be great too.
