Job Description

Developer - 12 Month Fixed Term ContractWe are now hiring for a Developer on a 12 month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave. This is a hybrid position, with a minimum of 2 days a week in our Helmshore office.Engage Services Limited is part of Marston Holdings, the UKs largest judicial services company working for over 500 local authorities, central government, and businesses.We are seeking a high performing, motivated individual to grow our System Development team. You will be responsible for building services that will help towards our goal of a re-build of our current systems and maintaining and improving these as time goes on.You should always be looking for the best way to complete tasks, and to try to provide extra value and functionality in the services that you build.Duties include:

  • Build back-end services using C# (.NET). These will usually be the form of restful APIs, though we also use some Windows Services.
  • Build front-ends using React as their framework.
  • Build Windows Services to automate tasks which need no human interaction.
  • Design database structures to complement the service that is being built, keeping these within 3rd normal form.
  • Build systems with a view of reporting in mind - we use data to drive business decisions, and rely on our systems to record the data we need in order to do this.
