Due to an exceptionally strong pipeline of new work, an opportunity has arisen within the recently launched regional Debt Advisory business of a global professional services firm for a talented Debt Advisory professional. The successful individual will play a pivotal role in growing the offering and taking the business to the next level. Working alongside a dedicated and highly regarded Debt Advisory Director, you will deliver debt advisory services to a largely mid- market client base (£5m-£50 raise/£2m-£10m EBITDA range). The work will broadly fall into three streams: - Undertaking lender education work e.g a company being sold that is likely to go to Private Equity - you will work with the PE House to advise on the lender appetite, how much the bank will lend - owning this process from start to finish; - Undertaking buy-side work for many of the most highly regarded PE Houses; - Raising debt for companies without PE support (e.g MBOs, shareholder change, acquisition of international business). Candidates will be either working in a Debt Advisory team currently (Top10 firm or Advisory boutique) or a leveraged/structured finance team in a bank. At this grade you will be expected to take a day to day lead role on transactions therefore you will be able to project manage a transactional process, manipulate and work with financial models (as opposed to building from scratch) and understand term sheets and facility documents. An accountancy qualification would help but by no means a pre-requisite for the role. This represents an ideal opportunity for an ambitious and hungry Debt Advisory professional looking to build a team and business around themselves with a clear and defined path to Director level.
