Job Description

DATA TEST ANALYST ONLINE TECH COMPANYMANCHESTER£45,000+ BENEFITS A well known online company who are modern and data driven are looking for an experienced test analyst to join their data team and focus on testing for their enterprise data warehouse and the ETL flows feeding itTHE COMPANYThe company are a market leader in their space and a fully online business. They are hugely data driven as a business with their products running on data so the data and analytics team play a hugely important commercial role and they are always keen to invest in and expand these teams resulting in plenty of opportunities for progression.THE ROLEIf you were to be successful in your application for this Data Test Analyst position your responsibilities would include:

  • Identify plan and execute testing for warehouse change
  • Creating test scripts in SQL to perform various types of testing for ETL, Data Warehouse loads (both manual and automated where possible)
  • Analyse test results and translate into meaningful data, providing a clear, concise conclusion
  • Continuously identify, discuss and implement test improvements to maximise effectiveness and efficiency within the team
  • Adhere to Test team processes and procedures where required but utilise own judgement to question and offer improvements where appropriate
  • Create and maintain test documentation, including scripts (automated and manual), processes and procedures
    • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEIn order for your application for the Tableau BI Analyst to be successful you will need;
  • Very strong SQL coding ability and the ability to construct complex queries
  • Knowledge of testing ETL jobs from tools like Abinitio or Talend
  • Experience working in an agile environment and using tools to prioritise like JIRA
  • Analysing Schema documents and database designs and able to perform
