We are working with a Customs Broker looking to expand their customs services team based in Manchester. They support businesses with both existing international trade clearance and new EU clearance requirements and are eager to welcome a Customs Process Administrator. This is a great opportunity to gain working experience within Customs Services and start an exciting career within the field of customs and international trade. The role requires proven administration experience, knowledge of customs processes, and strong interpersonal skills / customer relations. The salary offered is up to £28,000 DOE experience and all Training is provided. The working hours are full time (rotating shift schedule, including weekends).About The Role:· Variety of administrative tasks relevant to Custom Brokerage · Import & Export and Transit Movements · relevant Custom Brokerage financial activities · updating registers · file management within the Custom Brokerage department Reporting and monitoring of the customs data and internal systems Maintaining first-class relationships with external and internal stakeholders Essential Skills & Experience:· Previous experience of customs processes such as: import/ export declarations, VAT, tariff codes, incoterms, simplified import declarations, calculation of import duty, risk management, verification of origin of goods, bill of landings and other relatable tasks.· Previous experience within import or export freight or both· Will suit someone with previous logistics, freight, freight forwarding, transport or distribution background· Well organized with attention to details.· A strong communicator in both written and spoken English (additional languages are beneficial)· Strong software skills especially with Excel· Flexible and able to learn new skills· Problem solving and analytical thinking· An open minded and cheerful individual that is eager to learnAbout The Benefits:· Based close to Manchester City Centre · Up to £28,000pa DOE · Generous holidays and benefits · The working hours are full time (rotating shift schedule, including weekends) · Enthusiastic and sociable team · This is a great opportunity to gain working experience within Customs Services and start an exciting career within the field of customs and international trade To ApplyIf this sounds like a role you will LOVE, please send your CV today!
