Job Description

Customer Clearance Broker - Home and office based - fab role - Small growing business - With a good history and exciting future. We are looking for a self-starter - proactive with initiative! - Commutable to Stockport based office but also flexible - Home BasedCompetitive salary and package - Perm role! ABOUT:

  • Helping exporters, importers, hauliers complete customs declarations. Import/ export declaration between the UK and EU (mainly Poland).
    • Job Description
  • Completing both import and export customs documentation (such as C88 / SAD/ EAD / CFSP / NCTS /EMCS forms)
  • Submitting accurate documentation onto the company database
  • Ensuring customers are provided with correct and up to date information on customs procedures
  • Taking responsibility for the documentation relating to the export and import of goods worldwide - processing clearance documentation, preparation of C88 / SAD / EAD / CFSP / NCTS / EMCS
  • Advising on the documentation necessary for direct import/export, transit movements (e.g. ATA Carnets, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Conformity etc)
  • Utilising your knowledge of customs tariffs, CPC codes and security declarations
  • Liaise with customers to resolve any queries within SLAs
  • Update and maintain reference logs for customers
  • Maintain accurate filing and archiving records
  • Audit and check entries completed

  • Have a background within similar role
  • Leadership skills with proven track record
  • Highly adaptable and able to work under pressurised situations
  • Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Have knowledge of Customs software HMRC Chief & experience of using software packages such as Descartes , Destin8, ASM, CargoWise, Sequoia, MiC, Spire, Data Freight &/or SAP
