Job Description

Due to rapid growth, my client is recruiting a Creative Product Developer to join their dynamic and vibrant fashion, retail company in Manchester. You will have 2 years+ experience in a similar role and an understanding of garment construction. Offeringa salary £27000 - £32000 plus fantastic benefits detailed below.THE ROLE:

  • Drive intake margin improvement through garment engineering and appropriate fabric selection and utilisation to ensure best possible prices without compromising relevant quality level for the Brand
  • Liaising with Designers and Directors to develop our branded products which are fit for purpose
  • The approval process/portals with the Brands
  • Sourcing
  • Assist with measuring
  • Manage product photography and descriptions
  • Develop size charts
  • Assist with the checking of submissions sent from the factories including lab dips, bulk fabric and print submissions
  • Ensuring that the products follow all safety standards and meet minimum requirements on testing
  • Working to a critical path to ensure that the development process is smooth
  • Communicating with multiple factories
  • Organising samples, archiving old samples & creating/removing submission files
  • Advising on problems on fit
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
  • Fashion and technical qualification to degree level
  • Minimum of 3 years experience within a similar role in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident using Adobe CC Illustrator
  • Understanding of garment construction
  • Knowledge of grading and grade rules
  • Flexibility to travel as the role will include trips to the warehouses & overseas factory visits
  • Organised and proactive
