A true advisor role working with one of the UKs largest consultancy and insolvency practices advising on an impressive range of privately owned, private equity backed and listed companies. Corporate restructuring frequently involves assisting businesses requiring an element of turnaround through varying degrees of financial stress. As an assistant manager you will work with major lenders and funders reviewing the performance and viability oftheir customers, undertaking Independent Business Reviews (IBRs) and recommending solutions. You will also directly advise companies on performance improvement, financial management and business turnaround and handle formal insolvency assignments such astrading administrations. You will need to be a fully qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, or CA (ICAEW, ICAS or ACCA) with up to date professional practice experience - though this does not have to be from corporate restructuring as those within audit, tax, corporatefinance, transaction services or other disciplines will be seriously considered. Exceptional communication skills, a business brain and the ability to remain calm under pressure are all prerequisites of the role, as is first class report writing.Few roles within professional services offer such a variety and mix of experiences covering financial investigation and reporting, company disposals and fund raising, turnaround and restructuring and even formal insolvency.
