Your background maybe in compliance but equally could also be from some form of regulatory background or legal. If you want to be part of an expanding organisation in the technology industry, we are the ones for you!THE COMPANYThe client, an exciting and fast growing UK Tech Business with offices in Manchester and currently growing around the globe, are seeking a Compliance Officer at this exciting time of growth, reporting to and fully supported by the Global Compliance Director.One thing is guaranteed, and that is a strong career path, and a genuine opportunity to develop personally and quickly in this fast paced organisation that strongly rewards and develops those with the desire to succeed.The businesses success is based on impeccable client service, passionate people and leading-edge technology.THE ROLEOn a day-to-day basis you will be maintaining and improving our certified management system including ISO27001 Information Security, ISO9001 Quality Management and ISO22301 Business Continuity. You will assist the department by reviewing and creating documentation,liaising with stakeholders, as well as enhancing, developing, and implementing our compliance practices. You will also assist with completing internal audits and coordinate our audit schedule. To be considered you will be able to evidence that you understandthe importance of Cyber Security, Business Continuity, Data protection and the importance of Health and Safety.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Assist the Compliance and HR directors to ensure that records are established and maintained to provide evidence that management system, regulatory and legislative requirements are being followed and that there is a system in place for the identification,storage, protection, retrieval, retention time and disposition of such records;
  • Assist with following up any overdue actions including nonconformances, risk treatments, management review actions and experian background checks
  • Ensure incidents are managed and appropriately investigated.
  • Assisting with privacy impact assessments and GDPR requests.
  • Complete internal audits and ensure that corrective action is completed from the result of any findings.
  • Maintain a good level of knowledge of information security requirements and best practice and continually keep up to date with international legislation.
  • Assist with the implementation of Supplier Management procedure including assisting with due diligence for new and current suppliers.
  • Reporting any immediate risks to the Compliance director.
  • Work with the ISO management team to ensure the management system objectives are being achieved.
  • Assist with ensuring that management system policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Keep up to date with privacy developments and governance strategies for data management.
  • Ensure compliance at all times with legislation, regulations, business requirements, company information in line with the ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and ISO 22301.
  • Assist with data protection related projects for the UK, EU and Africa including GDPR, DPA and POPIA
  • Assist with any tasks or projects required within the department
EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES
  • Key skills/attributes should include:
  • A confident and wellpresented individual.
  • An understanding of day to day maintenance of ISO management systems
  • Understanding of the GDPR, data protection and its implications.
  • Be able to provide advice and guidance to stakeholders as well as work with other departments.
  • Be an effective communicator in written form and through verbal communication
  • Ability to maintain relationships both within the business and externally with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Able to listen and respond appropriately when confronted with objections.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and knowledge
  • Supporting training needs and monitor training programs
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS- This role is very broad within the tasks you may be assigned, a good understanding of ISO, Regulatory compliance and Health and Safety would be advantageous.
