Role: Commercial Manager – Cost Management Specialist Location: Manchester / North West - Hybrid, working from home and nearest office location, with travel Salary : £65,000 - £70,000, plus car or car allowance Executive Network Group have been retained with a leading utilities business, who are seeking a Commercial Manager, with a strong work history in cost management and Assurance, to join the team, following an internal promotion.Reporting to Head of Commercial, this role will be responsible for; the development and implementation of commercial controls, delivering the business outcomes for the sector, in terms of commercial, financial, regulatory and compliance performance measures.What you’ll get to work on• Manage the application and development of processes within the supply chain. • Assess commercial policies to fully meet the requirements of the customers and stakeholders• Ensure compliance with Legislation and Company safety and engineering policies and procedures and ensure that adequate records are recorded and retained• Work proactively to minimise safety, operational and reputational risk to the company and brand• Lead change projects within the Commercial process and ensure change projects meet wider• Objectives of the business and are appropriately supported• Work closely with the operational Networks, Engineering, Energy Operations and Capital• Delivery Teams to enhance Customer Experience across the End-to-End journey• Support the management of the Commercial financial budget• Work with our Technology teams, ensuring that the technology platform meets the requirements for efficient operation of the business in relation to their specific sector requirements and enables world class customer service provision• Identify and implement future opportunities for process and performance improvement• Drive commercial value and delivering cost savings• Business continuity managementWho are we looking for• Educated to a degree standard or equivalent qualification/experience• Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience• Experience in leading and developing commercial teams, providing commercial control over large construction projects• Understanding of the regulatory environment and key business drivers• Experience of managing different forms of contracts/framework agreements, developing legal documentation to address project delivery solutions• Experience of working collaboratively with stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities across the value stream and influencing and negotiating in order to drive commercial savings• Knowledge of the procurement process and engagement of strategic suppliers• Ability to think strategically to identify opportunities, sequentially prioritise them and deliver results through your team• Ability to manage risk, understand in-depth financial information and have commercial acumen that can be used to make meaningful insights to drive business growthWhat you’ll get in return:• £65,000 - £70,000 • Car or car allowance• 15% Annual bonus• Pension • 25 days holiday, plus statutory days, and an option to buy more• Fantastic career development prospects with funded learning options, including support with exams, and internal and external learning and developmentInterested Apply now for immediate consideration: // Alternatively, if you know of anyone who may be interested in this opportunity, please forward on our details.
