Job Description

My client, a successful and forward-thinking Business Solutions organisation based in Manchester City Centre are looking to bring in an experience Commercial Accountant to join the FP&A function and focus on core analysis and month-end accounting work toassist with positive business operations. This role is available due to continued growth of the business and has a strong progression path into a Senior FP&A role in the futureAs the Commercial Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering complex analytical reports to the senior management team whilst also performing key month-end accounting dutiesKey responsibilities include:

  • Production of weekly and monthly financial and analytical reports
  • Ensuring sales data is robustly maintained and scalable to determine and set commissions
  • Creating and implementing a framework for robust and detailed reporting around commercial and operational KPIs on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Assist in providing commercially viable pricing / bids to Sales and Operational teams
  • Produce the quarterly sales pack and contribute to the preparation of financial analyses to key stakeholders
  • Assist the CFM in the setting of sales budgets and forecasts, driving revenue and commission calculations.
  • Provide monthly analysis and commentary around variances
  • Producing monthly cost packs
  • Financial & commercial analysis and monitoring any variances or trends
  • Analysis of the P&L and developing key reports
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Financial modelling
  • Balance sheet analysis
  • Other ad-hoc financial tasks
Key skills/experience required:
  • A background in Financial Analysis or month-end finance function
  • PQ CIMA/ACCA
  • Excellent analytical and observational skills
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Meticulous and methodical approach
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic about development and progression
