My client, the UK leader in the pet products sector is looking to hire a Commercial Data Analyst - FMCG Industry. This is an exciting newly created role with massive scope to make your own.Client DetailsOur client is a leading pet products business who have had massive growth int he last 3 years. They are looking to expand their analytics team and hire a Commercial Data Analyst - FMCG Industry to become the Power BI data and analytics reporting expert.DescriptionReporting to the Commercial Strategy Manager, the Commercial Data Analyst - FMCG Industry, will be responsible for providing the business with reporting, analysis and insights which shape & support Category Management activities throughout the business.These responsibilities will include:Daily

• Provide key regular category reports for use within the business, taking raw data and transforming in Power BI dashboards
• Utilising a variety of global reporting platforms eg. Nielsen, Quantium, Sainsburys Together With, IRI
• Working with Power Query and ideally Power BI to develop new reporting to suit the needs of the business across key category metrics: Share, growth and Price, Promotion, Product (range), Place (Space & Display) and People (shopper)
• Work closely with internal stakeholders including:Sales, Finance and Marketing teams to optimise shared business reporting
• Assure, check and monitor accuracy of scheduled delivery of data from data providers

Analytics

• Providing on-going analysis and interpretation of data to provide meaningful and actionable insights
• Contribute to and present at internal business forums
• Provide internal teams with appropriate category analysis, insight & presentation support to sell-in business agenda to customers

ProfileThe successful Commercial Data Analyst, will have demonstrated exposure in:

• Data Analysis Skills - Advanced excel and proficiency in Power Query/Power BI are essential
• Power BI - Experienced in creating Power BI dashboard from raw data and mapping tables/schema to creating visualisations for day to day business reporting
• Complex data - Experienced working with large amounts of complex data and information from a variety of sources.
• Presentation - Experience presenting complex data in a digestible summary - through both written and visual means.
• High level of self-supervision, organisation & discipline - full preparation for meetings, prioritisation of workload and & timely agreed follow-up.
• Attention to detail - accurate delivery of information and collateral in a timely and effective manner
• Curiosity & creativity - desire to validate & investigate data to uncover insights and create ideas and narratives
• Effective relationship builder - dedicated to meeting expectations of internal and external customers, developing and maintaining effective relationships gaining trust and respect.
• Effective communicator - ability to clearly and concisely communicate to key stakeholders within the business - both written & verbally
