Job Description

Are you an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a good understanding of AWS or Microsoft AzureWe are currently recruiting for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a good grounding in the industry and solid experience in public cloud platforms as well as:Iaas, Paas and Saas as the role will differ slightly depending on the project. This would be an excellent move for someone looking to grow within a busy team and get involved with the deployment of Cloud Infrastructure as well as Cloud Native assignments.This role is hybrid variable so the majority of your time would be spent working from home with occasional travel to one of our offices (London, Hemel Hempstead, Manchester or Edinburgh).What you will be doing:

  • Work hands-on with Microsoft Azure or AWS technologies providing support to build out platforms and environments supporting their delivery
  • Work hands-on with Microsoft Azure or AWS technologies providing support to onsite and remote teams of Engineers and Leads
  • Delivery and execution of CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps or AWS
  • Provisioning the AWS or Azure PAAS/IAAS environments through CI/CD pipelines
  • AWS or Azure ADO ecosystem set up/ configure and support
  • Evaluate gaps related to DevOps best practices and provide remedies
  • Cloud Infrastructure planning, testing, and deployment
  • Assist the non-production & production support teams with escalating tickets
  • Develop and maintain design documentation for the cloud engineering resources
  • Evaluate gaps related to DevOps best practices and provide remedies
What youll bring:
  • AWS or Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS principles
  • AWS or Azure IaaS (Virtual networks, VMs)
  • AWS or Azure Storage
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Cloud Formation preferred)
  • Experience of Active Directory setup and maintenance
  • Source control (GIT/SVN)
  • AWS or Azure SQL & Cosmos DB exposure
  • Exposure to Active Direction Integration and IAM
  • Exposure to AWS or Azure Resource groups
  • Experience in AWS or Azure Virtual machines
  • Experience in AWS or Azure Storage accounts
  • Virtual networks / general Azure networking and connectivity / security
  • Exposure to AWS or Azure Functions
  • Exposure to AWS or Azure SQL
  • Experience in AWS or Azure Backup
It would be great if you had:
  • Experience within a customer environment and an appreciation of the impact of problems on the customer business
  • Documentation Skills, with the ability to produce documents for use by an end user, as well as operational procedure documentation for use by service desk personnel
  • Knowledge of SSL certificate generation and provisioning to IIS
  • RHEL DevOps knowledge
  • Azure App Services
  • Azure WAF / Security Centre
  • Azure Monitor
  • Windows Virtual Desktop
  • Kubernetes / Azure Container Service
