Cloud Architect / Manager to £80k + Excellent Benefits + IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Azure, AWS, Public Cloud, Security, Windows, LinuxCloud Architect / ManagerDo you have a background working in Cloud Infrastructure functionDo you have a broad technical skill set and are able to ensure the highest level of cloud / infrastructure security for the organisation Can you help the company as they engage on a majorCloud Transformation to Azure platform, taking owner of all cloud engineering practices and building a successful cloud engineering team Do you have a passion for design, strategy, development, and implementation of large-scale projects in the CloudCloud Architect / Manager - About the role:The Cloud Architect / Manager role will predominantly be focused on ensuring the successful delivery of their transformation programme to Azure platform, which will include taking technical ownership of cloud engineering practice and operating in a leadershipcapacity across the organisation.The Cloud Architect / Manager will also be responsible for building a dedicated Cloud Engineering team within the organisation, and be responsible for build, billing, operations, and monitoring of the platform.In addition, you will act as the SME in Cloud - guiding on best practices and also make recommendations as to best utilise the Cloud technology within the organisation.The role will be based out of the Manchester HQ but allow a couple of days a week homeworking and working closely with the Head of Core Infrastructure Services.Cloud Architect / Manager - Key Responsibilities:

1. Delivery of change to the Azure public cloud platform
2. Take ownership of cloud infrastructure issues, working with other team members to understand priorities and risks, helping align security objectives.
3. Build, design, deploy secure cloud solutions across public cloud offerings - Azure.
4. Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
5. Be DevOps and Azure Platform Evangelist taking requirements and shaping them to be built on the Azure platform.
6. Maintenance release and update assessment, acceptance, integration, and adoption for the Azure Cloud Platform
7. Management and definition of team structure / roles within the cloud department focusing on business and technical needs of the organisation.
8. Identify improvement opportunities within the Azure Cloud Platform and improve skills of the team.
9. Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required, and represent the organisation in technology forums around Azure Cloud Operations and assess the impact of any potential changes.

Cloud Architect / Manager - Essential Technical Skills:Candidates must have some exposure to most of the technologies listed below:

• Ideally a few years experience of working with Cloud Services ( Azure etc)
• Previous experience in building / designing secure cloud infrastructure and delivery of change into large enterprise environment.
• Expertise knowledge of Azure Design, architecture, and services
• Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps for infrastructure as code in cloud-based deployments
• Some expertise of Devops ( including Terraform) and ARM Templating alongside good understand of IT Service Management Principles
• Knowledge of system monitoring in a cloud environment including cloud specific products and tools
• Some understanding of the pillars of well-architected frameworks

Cloud Engineer / Architect - Benefits (Negotiable)

• Basic salary of up to £80k on offer
• 35 Hour working week.
