Job Description

About usWe offer a wide range of insurance cover, including professional indemnity, public liability, employers liability, D&O, property, occupational personal accident, legal representation and employment cover, and cyber. We transact business directly with customersthrough our websites, where customers can get a quote and purchase cover online, as well as through our team of insurance experts assisting customers over the telephone. We have ambitious growth plans to increase our presence in our target sectors.Key Accountabilities

  • Making outbound calls to customers - including those that have received a quote but not yet purchased, online quote referrals, re-engaging lapsed customers from previous years and renewal chasers with a view to converting these into business
  • Taking inbound calls from new and existing customers
  • Cross selling complementary products
  • Quoting, binding, renewing and taking payment for policies
  • Answering customer questions over the telephone, live chat and email.
  • Chasing outstanding renewals
  • Handling online quote referrals as required within underwriting authority (new business and renewal)
  • Handling mid-term adjustments and issuing renewal invitations
  • Handling administrative tasks to comply with customer requirements
Skills & experience
  • Experience in insurance or financial services
  • Experience of working to sales or retention targets in a telephony environment
  • Excellent sales skills and an ability to identify cross sell opportunities
  • Customer-focused approach and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Understanding of conduct risk and non-advised status
  • Drive and enthusiasm for meeting deadlines
