Job Description

The client, a successful international software house, are seeking a Business Continuity Coordinator, which is a brand new role due to continued growth.This is a fantastic opportunity for those who want to develop their career in a broad range of compliance areas including business strategy, cost management, risk and control, regulatory change and resource management. The function involves constant liaisonwith, and often provides the link between Marketing, Support, Sales, Development, IT, Finance, HR and Operations.If you want to be part of an expanding organisation in the technology industry, then this is the role for you!Role ObjectivesYou will be responsible for the maintenance and testing of the Business Continuity and risk program, working within the compliance department.You will assist the department by reviewing documentation, providing advice to customers and colleagues, as well as enhancing, developing, and implementing compliance practices. You will also assist with completing internal risk assessments and coordinateaudit testing schedule. To be considered you will be able to evidence that you understand the importance of Cyber Security, Risk Methodology, Business Continuity, Data protection and the importance of Health and Safety.Core Responsibilities & Duties

  • Responsible for developing and assisting to provide an overall integrated Business Continuity Plan and Operational Readiness strategy in line with clearly defined BCM and business requirements.
  • Updating and creating plans and policies covering issues such as Pandemics, Loss of environment, Loss of Cloud Solution etc.
  • Coordinating and contributing to the annual testing and exercise schedule.
  • Maintaining own level of knowledge and competency in relations to Business Continuity / Risk management and responsibilities including appropriate qualifications and professional membership
  • Liaise with department heads to update risk assessments, create regular reports on risk and ensure risk treatments are implemented and target completion dates are met.
  • Ensure incidents are managed and appropriately investigated.
  • Work alongside our overseas teams to coordinate annual testing, risk and policy updates.
  • Ensuring plans are updated and retested where incident and problem management review requires changes to be reflected in the plan.
  • Reporting any immediate risks to the Compliance director
