Job Description

As our build to rent division continues to grow, we are now looking for a Portfolio Accountant to join the team. If you have previous accounts experience, are extremely organised with a can do attitude then this could be the role for you.Role Summary:As our Portfolio Accountant,you will provide support to the Build to Rent team by ensuring that all accounting functions within a portfolio of developments are undertaken, providing timely and accurate financial reporting to the Client andfinancial modelling to the internal team as and when required.Responsibilities as ourPortfolio Accountant will include:

  • Produce monthly rental charges for tenants and rent rolls
  • Execute all financial move-ins on Property management system
  • Register tenant deposits and maintain accurate records
  • Control and maintain tenants direct debits including the Direct Debit payment run
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of accruals and prepayments
  • Review monthly expenditure against budgeted expenditure
  • Preparation of monthly client reporting working to strict deadlines, ensuring that all financial information is checked and accurate.
  • Reporting to the internal team of performance against budget on operating costs on a monthly basis.
  • Any other ad hoc duties

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Good time management
  • Able to work on own initiative and manage own workload to strict deadlines
  • Great customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Qualified AAT (or working towards)
Desirable
  • Previous lettings accounts experience
  • AAT (or the willingness to work towards)
