Branch Sales Manager - Minster - ManchesterWe have an excellent opportunity for Branch Sales Manager to join our thriving branch based in Manchester. Minster is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and they are specialists insulation & dry-lining distributor offering a comprehensive range of products available online and via anetwork of 25 branches nationwide.Is this role right for meFirst and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working; for this role in particular we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience

  • Clean driving license (essential)
  • Proven experience in managing/leading teams
  • Proven track record of financial/commercial success
  • Proven experience in a proactive sales/customer focused environment
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels
  • Knowledge of the dry lining and interiors industry preferred but not essential
  • Proficient MS Office package skills
What will I be doing in the roleThe Branch Sales Manager purpose is to set high standards of customer experience and build successful working relationships with customers, staff and suppliers, to deliver sustainable profitable sales growth and gain market share within marketplace.In this role you will;
  • Manage, plan and lead the day to day Sales Team function taking responsibility for problem solving and managing situations arising
  • Work with the Branch Manager to identify and put into action developmental plans for the sales team
  • Achievement of Sales Team Key Performance Indicators to agreed standards, incorporating sales and margin targets, customer base growth and customer spend targets, and customer service initiatives
  • Build strong working relationships with your own portfolio of customers by attending meetings with them and ensuring exceptional customer service
  • Build close and trusted working relationships with operational colleagues to ensure excellent levels of customer service and satisfaction are delivered to customers and in order to achieve companys goals
  • Work with the Branch Manager, Area Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to define and implement area sales plans
  • Develop and manage branch customer portfolio
  • Develop effective supplier relationships in order to maximise customer sales opportunities
  • Keep up to date with upcoming projects in the area and be proactive in targeting new business opportunities
  • Maximise opportunities to continually learn about new products and regulations and to improve selling skills
  • Support and assist health and safety culture to ensure that both staff and customers are free from accidents and that all parties actively endorse a safe and healthy working environment
  • Ensure individual and team compliance with the Saint-Gobain Principles of Conduct and Action
