Job Description

My global freight forwarding client are looking for a branch manager based in Manchester to drive performance and service to the client base in the areaClient DetailsThe Branch Manager will be based in Manchester working for a global freight forwarding business with a international and national footprintDescriptionThe branch managers duties Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparing annual budgets in collaboration with Finance and Commercial teams, and ensure a positive delivery through P&L and Commercial Management
  • Manage all aspects of International and Domestic freight movements (Import, Export by Sea, Air, Courier and/or Land) and 3PL provision of VAS Identify trends within the business, and actively develop solutions for maintaining positive momentum or correctingnegative patterns
  • Be involved in implementation of new business to ensure correct processes are in place prior to movement of goods to maintain service credibility
  • Identify new business trends/opportunities within existing sales portfolio of services and negotiate contract rates in accordance with business needs Ensure "Best in Class" customer service is delivered at all times and take the business to the next level
This role is based in ManchesterProfileThe Branch manager based in Manchester will need to be experienced in:
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a Multi-Modal position, with a proven track record in Branch and Financial Management
  • Educated to GCSE standard (minimum of 5)
  • Hands-on current experience in air import/export and sea import/export
  • Ability and confidence to deal with difficult customers if the need arises
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines in a timely manner IT savvy (MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, etc),
  • Knowledge of Cargowise Operating System would be an advantage but is not required Additional Information
Job OfferThe Branch manager in Manchester will have the opportunity to manage their own Branch driving performance and growth. a salary of £60,000-65,000 plus car will be on offer for the successful candidate
