Reporting to the Head of Business Resilience, the BCDR Manager will work collaboratively across DCC to support the Head of Business Resilience to implement the BCDR Capability strategy and roadmap. The BCDR Manager will provide leadership in coordinating, assessing,developing & communicating recovery requirements and contingency plans associated with DCC Business. In the role of BCDR Manager you will work closely with DCC suppliers, design and testing teams to ensure that the resilience of DCCs processes, systems and platforms are properly validated and that the audit discipline is maintained through enduring operations. As we move from a programme-focused organisation into one which is supporting mass-rollout of Smart Metering within the UK, this is a truly unique and exciting opportunity to support the development of the resilience and BCDR capability into one which fundamentallyinfluences the way that the business operates, develops new services and transforms the delivery of DCC services which is resilient. Key Responsibilities: Support to develop and implement in accordance with DCC License obligations and industry standards BCDR Policy and Plan Crisis Management Policy and Plan Business Impact Analysis for Functions, Products and Services across DCC BCDR and Resilience Supplier Strategy Manage the annual DCC BCDR testing programme. Own, maintain and deliver testing / exercising schedules including crisis management, IT-DR, workspace recovery, 3rd party resilience assurance and people / teams Responsible for the BCDR Testing within DCC and with the Service providers across the entire DCC ecosystem such as SMETS1, SMETS2, Switching, NEP etc. Support the Head of Business Resilience to transform the DCC culture towards business continuity and resilience. Support the implementation of BCDR industry standard and best practices (ISO 22301, Business Continuity Institute Good Practice Guidelines). Define and manage a Business Continuity Threat Analysis Matrix and proactively manage the associated risks with relevant stakeholders. Review existing and new BCDR contractual obligations and assurance of these into enduring service and influencing commercial decisions. Support the development and implementation of the Business Continuity and Resilience programme across DCC, to include new Business Continuity Management Application. Manage business continuity, ensuring it is implemented in accordance with DCC Standards, legal & regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and ISO 22301, to include plan maintenance, business impact analysis, exercising and third-party supplier resilienceassurance. Support the implementation of DCC Crisis Policy and Plan to implement a response structure, emergency communication capability and post incident review process. Skills and experience - Essential: An experienced Resilience and BCDR Professional who demonstrates significant experience of delivering Business Resilience in large scale IT Eco Systems / Complex Organisations. Strong experience of understanding all resilience and BCDR requirements (business continuity, disaster recovery, operational resilience, or crisis management) Having a minimum of AMBCI (Associate Member of Business Continuity Institute) for Resilience along with broader operational skill sets. Seasoned Resilience and BCDR Professional having experience to implement frameworks aligned to industry standards and good practice (ISO 22301, Business Continuity Institute Good Practice Guidelines) Experience in managing, governing and mitigating BCDR Risks to ensure continuity of the business. Track record of defining and maturing BCDR policies and implementation BCDR frameworks. Experience in implementing and maturing business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities, including business impact assessments. Experienced BCDR & Resilience professional having commercial and business acumen required to understand the big picture to ensure resilience, proactiveness and a cost-effective solution. Ability to understand and recommend the resolution of complex problems and focus on the critical issues. Strong negotiation and influencing skills Skills and Experiences Desirable: Familiar with industry standards like ISO 9001, ITIL and ISO 27001 Experience of planning and running large-scale business resilience program and BCDR exercises Knowledge of Critical National Infrastructure and associated risks Risk Management Become part of our team at DCC and youll find an inclusive culture which prizes mutual respect, innovation and high performance.
