Job Description

Prospero are working alongside one of the UKs leading event production and AV rental companies supplying a wide range of products and services to the live events industry, mainly in the UK but also overseas.They offer a full-service technical solution for our clients and house an extensive and varied stock across all areas of technical production including sound, lighting, vision, rigging, set & stage, scenic and power distribution.They currently have the opportunity for an enthusiastic Warehouse Manager to join our team. The successful applicant will be a strong leader, with excellent communication skills. They will have varied experience in the AV industry and have a good understandingof an AV companys warehouse operations. The successful candidate will also be at home in a fast paced, hands on environment and thrive under pressure.KEY ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Line management of warehouse employees.
  • Communicating with Operations Manager for forward planning.
  • Overseeing preparation of equipment for productions and dry hires to the highest standard.
  • Liaising with dry hire customers to ensure orders go out correctly and clients needs are met.
  • Hands on preparation of equipment.
  • Managing progress and work rates of the warehouse team.
  • Improving efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations.
  • Health and safety within the warehouse.
  • Managing the checking in procedures for equipment returned from hire.
  • Developing procedures to further improve standards and maximise productivity.
  • Scheduling service, maintenance, and repair of equipment including organising testing and inspection of lifting and electrical equipment.
  • Managing the warehouse schedule of work and booking additional freelancers, as required.
  • Stock management of consumables.
  • Managing regular inspections of company vehicles and forklift truck and organising service/repair as required.
  • Conducting return to work interviews, managing sickness, absenteeism, and disciplinary processes, where appropriate.
  • Assisting with the recruitment process of warehouse team.
  • Assisting with the review of Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments within the warehouse.
  • Ability to keep rental software up to date.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Minimum 4 years experience in the AV /events industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Meticulous planning and attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise multiple jobs, on a daily basis.
  • High standard of personal presentation.
  • Ability to problem solve and to work to deadlines.
  • Flexibility and a can do, customer focused attitude.
  • Keen eye for detail and high standards of presentation.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own transport.
WORKING HOURS If you have the experience, we are looking for then you will already know that this is not a 9 till 5 job. Due to the nature of our industry, we require our employees to have a flexible approach to their working hours.
