Job Description

Automation Test Lead // Onsite in central Manchester // Circa £65,000 + benefits // JavaScript A client of Xpertise, who have a range of award-winning SaaS products, sold globally, are looking to hire a QA Lead.The role has 3 main elements to it. Strategy, Leadership, and Automation.You will collaborate with the Head of Engineering to continue to define manual and automation test strategies, lead a medium sized team including line management of other testers, and lead from the from front when helping the business introduce and adoptmore Test Automation across their development practices.Reasons to be interested:

  • Currently undergoing a migration of existing automation frameworks from Cypress to Playwright, you can gain experience with modern QA Automation technologies and be responsible for future tool selection and implementation. Their automation covers UI andAPIs.
  • Gain experience with mobile and performance technologies. Become more well rounded as a hands on QA.
To be considered:
  • Worked in (at least) a Senior QA role and have experience mentoring and coaching other colleagues.
  • Understand manual and automation test strategies, and have had responsibility for defining them previously, even if in collaboration with others.
  • Automation experience. You need to have built Test Automation frameworks previously. My client uses JavaScript and a mix of Cypress and Playwright.
  • Worked in a fast-paced environment with regular releases. Experience in ecommerce or other similar industries is ideal!
  • Experience working in an agile environment
You are a very strong candidate if you also have:
  • Experience with Load / performance testing
  • Experience of mobile testing and automation
