Job Description

Are you a driven Chartered Associate structural Engineer looking for your next challengeWell look no further!Here at Blueprint recruitment, we have a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned chartered Associate Structural Engineer to join a leading Design, Engineering and Project Management consultancy, on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be workingon a hybrid basis in our clients Manchester office 3 days a week.The opportunity arises due to the increasing demands for the consultancys services in the infrastructure sector, particularly in Highways, water, rail, nuclear power and carbon capture sectors. This exciting role offers a leading position in the Engineeringof prestigious projects, to help develop our clients structural capability in Manchester and the wider UK.Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities and lead/support business development and bidding activities.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with key and prospective clients
  • Take technical responsibility for structural engineering design delivery
  • Review calculations, drawings, and specifications on projects
  • Manage projects and design processes for consultancy services, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the interface between the company and clients/stakeholders
  • Coordinate and manage inputs from other disciplines into projects
  • Contribute to the development and growth of the structural engineering team
Key Requirements:
  • Degree-qualified Structural Engineer
  • Extensive postgraduate experience in major structural Engineering building projects
  • Chartered (CEng) Civil/Structural Engineer with an industry profile
  • Proven track record in design delivery, specifically in steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber designs from concept to detailed delivery
  • Detailed knowledge of design codes and standards related to Structural Engineering
  • Knowledge of construction implementation with proven site supervision and contract administration experience
  • Proven track record in delivering technically excellent design projects on time and to budget
  • Sound commercial understanding of the consultancy business
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of 2D and 3D design software packages, with an understanding of their suitability for project-level use.
  • Good communicator with proficiency in written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Natural curiosity for developing innovative and cost-effective solutions for clients
  • A winning attitude with a proven record of developing client relationships and winning new consultancy work
