Job Description

Area Sales Manager - External Wall Render Systems Job Title: Business Development Manager - Rendering SystemsIndustry Sector: Render, Renders, Plasters, Mortars, Textured Products, Silicone Render, Contractors, National Merchants, Independent Merchants, External Wall Insulation, Exterior Finishes, Structural Concrete, Building Materials, Building Products, Rainsceen,Faade, Cladding Areas to be covered: South EastRemuneration: £35,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience) + potential bonusBenefits: Electric company car & full comprehensive benefits package The role of the Business Development Manager - Rendering Systems will involve:

  • Field sales positions selling a high quality manufactured range of silicone and coloured rendering products
  • Majority of your time will be spent selling directly to and influencing main contractors, sub-contractors, applicators, homeowners, architects and housebuilders with particular focus on plastering contractors, applicators and installers
  • The remaining portion of your time will be spent selling through national and independent builders merchants such as Travis Perkins and Huws Gray
  • Dealing with typical order values of £1k - £50k+
  • Will be targeted to achieve circa £1m turnover
  • Will be expected to generate new business and managing some existing accounts
  • Working in conjunction with a Sales Director and internal team
The ideal applicant will be an Business Development Manager - Rendering Systems with:
  • Must have a proven track record in field based sales role selling construction / heavyside building materials / building envelope market place such as renders, plasters, mortars, cladding, insulation, rainscreen, facades, roofing systems or related products
  • Ideally have experience selling to contractors, plasterers, applicators, housebuilders on site (ideally both)
  • Would consider someone from a national / independent merchants such as Jewson, Travis Perkins, Huws Gray background
  • Ideally experienced getting products specified with architects
  • Ideally experience of conducting CPD Presentations
  • Technical and on-site experience with building materials
  • Genuine get up and go, determined and tenacious, make a good impression
