Area Sales Manager - Brick & Retaining Wall SystemsJob Title: Area Sales Manager - Brick & Retaining Wall SystemsIndustry Sector: Landscaping, Concrete, Retaining Walls, Segmental Retaining Wales, Groundworkers, Brickwork Contractors, Housebuilders, Regional Housebuilders, Groundwork Contractors Main Contractors, Precast Concrete, Concrete, Brickwork, Concrete Products,Retaining Walls, Anchors, Facing Bricks, Fixings, Heavyside Building Products, Architects, Civil Engineers, Landscape Architects, Quantity SurveyorsArea to be covered: NorthRemuneration: £40,000 - £46,000 + £12,000 bonus (paid quarterly)Benefits: company car & full benefits packageThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Brick & Retaining Wall Systemswill involve:

  • Field sales position selling a high end quality manufactured range of segmental retaining wall (SRW) / facing brick products
  • All of your time will be spent selling to and generating specification with contractors, housebuilders, brickwork contractors and ground workers
  • Liaise with key supply chain partners such as: Maccaferri; Anchor Walling and Geoman
  • Utilizing the internal support network including: design teams, estimating and internal sales teams
  • Working closely with contractor and specification sales teams
  • Required to conduct CPD presentations
The ideal applicant will be a Area Sales Manager - Brick & Retaining Wall Systems experience with:
  • Must have experience selling to contractors, housebuilders, brickwork contractors and ground workers
  • Ideally have a construction based qualification such as a civil engineer, structural engineer or architectural technologist (not essential)
  • Highly motivated, conscientious, pro-active and organised approach
  • Ability to get on the phone, create appointments and articulate technical issues
  • A broad understanding of construction drawings and the sequence of a build
  • Technical understanding of precast concrete design advantageous
  • Capable of both generating new business and managing / expanding existing accounts
  • Hungry, driven, autonomous and poses a positive attitude
  • Ideally have sold concrete products such as: segmental retaining walls (SRW), facing brick, anchor, concrete fixings, piling, retaining walls, paving, beams, blocks, flags, acoustic blocks and architectural masonry (not essential, open on product background)
