Job Description

AndroidEngineer | Advanced Medical Equipment | Oxfordshire | Up to £65,000 DOE |RemoteAre you an AndroidEngineer looking to create a better futureWe have an excellent opportunity for you to join a business with the objective of implementing sophisticated digital clinical infrastructure to ensure a healthcare ecosystem that is adaptable to current and future crises.As an Android Engineer, you will be critical in the continued development of the lifesaving app (saving peoples lives from the deep sea to space) and the incorporation of new features. You will be joining an innovative organisation that fosters a friendly,creative environment for great individuals eager to contribute new ideas.Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Create high-performance, reusable, and dependable Java code.
  • Ensure the applications greatest performance, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Identify and repair bottlenecks, as well as defects.
  • Work with external data sources and APIs.
  • Unit-test code for stability, encompassing edge cases, usability, and overall dependability.
  • Regularly explore, analyse, and adopt new technologies to optimise development efficiency.
AndroidEngineer Requirements:
  • Professional software development expertise and Android skill development.
  • Knowledge of Android Studio and Android SDK tools.
  • Strong understanding of Android UI design concepts, patterns, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with offline storage, threading, and performance modification.
  • Worked with remote data using REST and JSON.
  • Understanding of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries accessible for routine services.
  • Working understanding of the broad mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and upcoming technologies.
  • Firm grasp of the entire mobile development life cycle.
  • A propensity for increasing and upgrading.
  • Understanding of code versioning tools such as Subversion.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration.
  • Confident working as part of a cross-functional team and with code authored by others, including bug fixing and reworking legacy code.
AndroidEngineer Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience working in an ISO13485 setting would be advantageous.
