Our client are an expanding Freight Forwarding company who are looking to expand their operation further in the UK , by opening a new office in Manchester to focus on Air Freight.The established Freight Forwarding company are looking to add an experience Air Import Clerk to the new team based at Manchester Airport.The successful Air Import candidate will need to have previous Air Freight import experience and understand the import clearance system Cargowise. Joining a team of 2 initially in the new Manchester office, which will grow to 5 in the New Year, you will be expected to be profficient in all areas of Air Import including quotes, bookings, customs clearance etc and generally able to secure current business being transferred ovder from using agents and make sure things happen.Ideally the successful individual will also have experience working within Air Freight Exports This is a great opportunity for someone to join a secure and well established Freight Forwarding business which is 35 years old, with an exciting 5 year growth plan in the UK, which will involve the opening of minimum 2 more offices in the future, adding to the 2 already established for Road , Rail and Sea Freight , plus this Manchester office to make 5 by the end of 2021.The group currently has 45 office staff and 45 drivers across their two established offices in the UK.
