Job Description

This is an Accounts Semi Senior role suitable for someone with a minimum of 18-24 months experience within an accountancy practice, who is looking to be client facing and who enjoys a fast pace of work within a enthusiastic and supportive team.In return you will enjoy a competitive salary, full, flexible study support and flexible working.THE ROLEThe role is based within a growing firm of accountants based in the centre of Manchester with a turnover nearing £10million and where client turnovers range from £1million to £50million. The Corporate team is busy and sociable, comprising of 15 members with a good mix of studiers and qualifieds and there is a dynamic and trusting culture where you will be afforded client facing responsibilities from the start.Reporting directly into the Associate Director, the primary focus of the work will be accounts preparation and advisory together with some corporation tax work and management accountants. Clients sit largely within professional services which has galvanised the firm against any significant effects of Covid and enabled them to expect growth numbers nearly inline with pre-Covid budgets.THE PERSONApplicants should have/be;

  • Accounts preparation experience gained within a practice setting spanning a minimum of circa 2 years,
  • ideally nearly/qualified AAT or early part-qualified ACCA ie circa 2 years away from full qualification.
  • Be hard working self starters, focused on delivering against targeted workflows
  • Looking to progress their study and self development with enthusiasm and at reasonable pace.
  • Confident and proactive with regards to operating in a client face role
  • Focused on self development and knowledge progression
  • THE PACKAGERemuneration includes full study support via a flexible study package and a bonus of upto 10% on top of salary.
