Job Description

An exciting new opportunity has come up for a newly qualified Accountant to be based in Manchester. We are seeking an ambitious Accountant to join a reputable organisation.You will be responsible for managing the month-end close processes, ensuring payroll and accounts payable processes run smoothly as well as supporting statutory and tax compliance for multiple entities.Your key responsibilities will be -

  • Manage the month end process including the accounts receivables, accounts payable, payroll, prepayments, accruals, intercompany and general ledger processes are complete.
  • Posting and preparing Transfer Pricing agreement journals and reconciliations
  • Posting US and Stat Tax Journals prepared by Tax team
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Timely AP runs performed
  • Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed timely and accurately by relevant teams and personnel
  • Prepare and pay Customer rebate Statements
  • Preparation of the monthly Management reporting packs including P&L bridge, B/S Flux, variances analysis and commentary.
  • Support Year-end audit, involving the preparation of statutory accounts for holding and trading companies.
You will be a newly qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with 2 + years experience, you will have a technical background, with knowledge of IFRS, FRS 102 and US GAAP. Previous experience with Peoplesoft and Hyperion (HFM) would be an advantage.You will be an outgoing person with the ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time.Looking to offer up to 45k + excellent benefits, the role will be based in the Manchester office offering remote/ hybrid working 2 - 3 days per week.
