We have a fantastic opportunity for a 2nd /3rd Line Technical support engineer to join our client on an initial 3 month contract. This role is ideally based In Manchester however can be remote. Role is inside IR35. Umbrella contractors only. This person will be responsible for operating all aspect of workplace, desktop viatualization and identify management services with the aim of maintaining the system fit for usage and fully compliant with the Service Level Agreements. Job Responsibilities * Implementing, maintaining and improving the platform for endpoint environment management * Managing the user environment including defining, configuring and managing the client desktop experience * Providing third level support for Windows clients and the organisations core applications including performance monitoring and resolving client performance issues * Realising and sustaining a client endpoint security posture and ensuring compliance with standards and expectations * Developing and planning a Mobile Device Management strategy by analysing the existing IT Infrastructure * Contributing to the implementation of new Workplace related services and assisting in maintaining current services * Develop the design & implementation of Modern Workplace Services based on the latest Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft Office 365, Intune, Azure AD & Windows 10. * Support the successful implementation of customer projects on their way to the Modern Workplace in the cloud & steadily develop the service catalogue in this area. * Ensure identity management. * Continue to evolve in the areas of Windows 10 & Cloud Services. * Resolve any operational incident related to IT Infrastructure escalated from the L1 support * Participate in Problem review meetings and provide input to RCAs when requested * Maintain a secure environment by strictly following the Change Management process for any configuration change to productive environments, assessing and presenting those changes to the CAB and perform any FATs requiredQualifications and Competencies * Basic training in computer science * 3+ years of experience in the field of workplace management with Microsoft technologies * 3+ years experience in the field of desktop virtualiation management with Citrix technologies * A solid knowledge of Azure AD, device management with Intune, identity / security & the products in the Microsoft 365 environment. * Familiar with the current Windows client functionalities such as App-V, UE-V, Direct Access, Workfolders and GPOs * Proved experience in working with the Configuration Manager (SCCM) is easy for you * Create reports and PowerShell * Experience in managind a IAM Platform (midPoint, Sailpoint, etc) * Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills * Ability to work and succeed in a dynamic and multi-cultural matrix organization * Broad understanding of a business or service environment and awareness of the factors that influence business decisions and strategy * Strong written and oral presentation skills * Fluent command of oral and written English as the corporate language; knowledge of any other language would be an advantageSo if you are a 2nd /3rd Line Technical support engineer looking for your next exciting opportunity please apply today!
