Job Description

Senior Project Manager (Digital / Ecommerce) - Digital Project Manager - Programme ManagerA brand new role for a Project Manager to lead digital disruption to a highly successful business in Cheshire. This role will drive forward strategic initiatives to improve online services and new digital capabilities for both internal and external customers.Client DetailsOur customer is a large privately-owned B2B provider with their Head Office based in Cheshire. This position has been created in order to explore digital capabilities and drive forward strategic initiatives that will improve their online services and customer engagement.DescriptionThe Digital Project Manager will drive forward strategic initiatives to improve online services and new digital capabilities for both suppliers and customers in the future.Responsibilities

  • Initiate, define and deliver a broad range of projects and initiatives that support the digital strategy
  • Leading on integration of digital channels between organisations within the group an act as the digital "champion"
  • Liaise with internal and external customers to identify and negotiate digital requirements, developing business cases, writing proposals and leading on specification activities
  • Work in partnership with third party software developers and service providers to ensure that projects are delivered to expected standards
  • Supporting technical teams to ensure digital solutions integrate successfully with core systems
  • Supporting the leadership team with the definition of digital strategy within the business
  • Ensure that projects are successfully transitioned into DevOps support
  • Coach, mentor and advise business representatives and technology team members
    • Profile
  • A proven track record of delivering digital projects and programmes (websites, online portals, ecommerce, punch out portals, EDI, e-trading and mobile apps)
  • Delivery of change management in large, complex organisations with an emphasis on adoption of new ways of working by staff.
  • An understanding of end-to-end customer needs, journeys and behaviours and how these are changing (external and internal clients, service users and staff).
  • Experience of managing 3rd party providers and software development projects
  • Experience of Product Information Management Systems (PIMS) would be highly advantageous
  • Sector experience from wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, B2B retail, supply chain or construction is preferred
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all organisational levels, internally and externally.
  • Ability to develop effective innovative approaches to complex problems
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, professional and demanding environment where attention to detail, accuracy and high quality standards is the norm.
