Job Description

JOB TITLE: BRANCH MANAGERSALARY: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum plus 10-20% bonus subject to performanceLOCATION: South ManchesterREPORTS TO: DirectorsDo you commute to work at a distance and now looking to work in South ManchesterAre you looking for a permanent role Do you have some experience driving a Reach or Counterbalance Forklift Truck If so, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Branch Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation based in South Manchester. You will supervise a small team and manage the Branch.JOB PURPOSE:To manage the branch to the highest possible standards with the economic use of resources in line with the company policy and proceduresPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESSales:

  • To achieve and seek to exceed central sales budgets through the implementation of the agreed sales and marketing strategy
  • Set high standards for handling all domestic and business enquiries
  • Collate and maintain the integrity of all key performance indicators
  • Maintain awareness of local competitor activity and inform Directors on a monthly basis
  • Maintain a high standard for all customer enquiries by telephone or/and site visits
  • Handle shipping enquiries and forward enquiries to Head Office
    • Sales and Marketing Strategy:Domestic
  • To convert incoming enquiries effectively into sales
  • To develop referrals from existing customers
  • To send out mailshots to local houses for sale using local newspaper/internet
    • Commercial
  • To target local businesses by postcode using the internet to identify location and contact details
    • Operations
  • Liaise with customers to arrange collection/delivery times
  • Manage the driver/warehouseman’s activities
    • Other Responsibilities:
  • Day to day administration within the branch
  • To implement, manage and enforce Health and Safety procedures
  • To carry out any other reasonable tasks and duties as required by management
  • Management of stock control of packaging supplies and consumables
  • The overall cleanliness and tidiness of the branch
