Job Description

Chef de PartieSalary: £30000Location: Maldon (must have transport due to location)Hours: Shift pattern of 6 am - 3 pm and 12 pm - 9 pmBenefits: Free parking, 28 days holiday and overtime availableMultiple Positions Available! Apply now!Responsibilities

  • To lead by example at all times in supporting and consistently delivering the Companys Vision and Mission statement, Guest Service standards and the Departmental operational standards.
  • To personally deliver high standards in respect of food quality, presentation and temperature by tasting the food and also delivering strong attention to detail in respect of food presentation.
  • To take responsibility for the running / management of any designated satellite Kitchen, and during service ensuring that:
        • Food is served to the set portion size
        • Food is served to the correct temperature
        • Presentation of the dish is to the standard set
        • All finished dishes are free from spills
        • All crockery used for service is spotless.
  • To pro-actively observe and evaluate the performance of all team members that you are responsible for on a daily basis, ensuring that they are delivering to the standards expected.
  • To carry out regular quality checks throughout service on all designated kitchen service areas including; the pass, starter section, dessert section and any future self-service areas, actioning any shortfalls in standards expected immediately
  • To carry out any remedial on the job training / coaching that may be required as and when the need arises.
  • Manage the team meal procedure in respect of offering a consistent quality meal offering, with a good choice of dishes and general maintaining of the staff meal service, actioning any shortfalls in standards.
  • To be proactive in menu development by proposing new dish ideas for any of the Resort menus at any given time.
  • To always attend any Kitchen meeting ensuring that you play a proactive and positive part in the meeting.
  • To take responsibility for your own personal development in respect of developing both your supervisory and management skills, in addition to your culinary knowledge and skills by being proactive in your approach to your own learning and development.
