Job Description

Trusts and Partnerships Fundraising Manager - National Charity - Kent Based - up to £45k + bonusWere on the hunt for an experienced Trusts and Partnerships Fundraising Manager to join a prestigious national charity in their offices in Kent.With proven success in fundraising from trusts, foundations and grant makers, you will develop and lead an ambitious Trust Fundraising programme across a wide range of capital and revenue projects. The Trust and Partnerships Fundraising Manager will produce winning funding applications for Trust, Lottery and statutory funders, as well as specific benevolent funds.The role will include prospecting, researching, liaising with colleagues across the charity, managing budgets and project development, assessing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting as well as organising visits and tours for prospective funders.In a nutshell: were looking for a successful fundraising professional, ideally with an Institute of Fundraising Certificate/Diploma, who is committed to the highest standards of donor stewardship, ambitious for success and has a demonstrablepassion for the sector.Key responsibilities as the Trusts and Partnerships Fundraising Manger will include:

  • Delivering an annual income generation target
  • Researching funding opportunities and identifying core services and new projects
  • Liaising with colleagues and recommending re-packaging of existing projects
  • Establishing strategic relationships with philanthropic organisations in order to bid at scale
  • Developing and writing winning applications to charitable trusts, the lottery, statutory funders and benevolent funds, managing the entire process from research to development of proposal, assessment and grant acceptance
  • Account managing trust and foundation relationships and overseeing reporting, monitoring progress and evaluating funded projects
  • Inviting trustees to events, organising memorable and engaging tours and arranging meetings with senior stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate records and information and ensuring databases and hard copy files are maintained
  • Providing regular financial reports and management information including trust application success ratios and application pipelines
  • Networking externally with potential project partners, funders, major donors and sector support resources
  • Representing the charity at internal and external events

What were looking for:
  • Demonstrable success in fundraising from trusts, foundations and grant makers within at least one charity or non-profit organisation
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Institute of Fundraising Certificate/Diploma is highly desirable
  • Experience of successfully delivering against financial targets within specified deadlines
  • Clear track record securing 5-figure, single and multi-year grants
  • Success securing 6 figure, single and multi-year grants is highly desirable
  • Demonstrable ability to research and identify new trust prospects
  • Evidence of ability to make creative approaches e.g. using senior stakeholder relationships or known personal interests
  • Experienced in account managing multi-year grants and donations
  • Significant understanding of the UK grant making sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to establish positive relationships at all levels
  • Proven networking skills
  • Ability to compile compelling and accessible applications, reports, papers and management information
  • IT literate including MS Office, with knowledge of fundraising/CRM databases
  • Ambitious for success
  • Passion for the sector
