Job Description

Lead Maintenance Engineer£40k - £50k DOEMaidstoneMon-Fri (8.30am-5pm) NO SHIFT WORK!Are you an electrically biased Maintenance EngineerAre you either looking for a step up into a leadership position or are you an experienced but hands-on manager, looking to take a step back into a role offering rare sociable hours.My client is looking for an electrically biased Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. If you have previous experience within a manufacturing environment as a Maintenance Engineer and are multiskilled with an electrical bias.This role will require you to be hands-on, carrying out maintenance as well as administrative based management tasks, suiting someone who is looking to take a step up into a senior role, or an experienced manager looking to take a slight step back.Duties include:

  • Leading and supervising a small team of Maintenance Engineers across 2 sites.
  • Working on a range of machinery including largescalemixers and compressors.
  • Performing the effective diagnosis, maintenance, PPM, and repair on a range of industrial equipment.
  • Carrying out facilities maintenance.
  • Monitoring KPIs and individual performances.
  • Attending breakdowns and keeping machinery down-time to a minimum.
  • Responsible for the dismantling, checking, and testing of components.
  • Updating records and implementing health and safety regulations where needed.
  • Managing all aspects of engineering including new and existingprojects.
The successful candidate will have / be:
  • An experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer, minimum level 3 qualified, with mechanical knowledge.
  • Previous manufacturing experience, most suited sectors being FMCG, food manufacturing, or pharmaceutical.
  • PPM, breakdown, installation, and reactivemaintenance experience.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Willing to be hands-on and assist the technicians when needed to deal with workload.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Able to writeclear and detailed reports.
