Job Description

Pay:KR3 StartDate: 2nd November 2020 / Term 2 St.Johns is excited to announce that we are looking to recruit a talented anddynamic Teaching Assistant to join our excellent and friendly team. StJohns is a Single Academy Trust with Voluntary Aided status. We welcomecandidates who value our Christian ethos while contributing individual flair toour evolving school. Weare looking for a positive, professional, fun and caring, skilled communicatorto support a child in Year 2. Experience in supporting a child with ASD anddelivering numerous interventions would be of benefit, but is not essential.Weare looking for someone who:

  • willsupport and scaffold childrens learning and emotional development both in andout of the classroom
  • hasthe ability to make excellent relationships with children, colleagues andparents
  • hasknowledge of how to develop the whole child
  • isconfident to work independently and can use their initiative
  • enjoysworking as part of a team
  • hasthe minimum qualifications of English and Mathematics GCSEs (A-C) orequivalent.

Thispost is for approximately 26 hours per week plus additional hours as MiddayMeals Supervisor. Term time only, 38 weeks pro-rata, fixed term until 31stAugust 2021.
