Job Description

Kent Fire & Rescue Service have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Learning Producer (Instructional design) to research, design and create digital and technology-based learning solutions at our Service Training Centre in Maidstone. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis in return for a competitive salary of £29,820 to £34,107 per annum.Working with tools such as Storyline 360 and Elucidat, our Digital Learning Producer will be writing and editing interactive eLearning and blended learning, using a range of multimedia technologies including Adobe Creative Cloud. In addition to being creative, innovative and flexible, you should be able to assimilate information, conceptualise ideas, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. You’ll be liaising closely with subject matter experts and working on a variety of project streams. The course materials and training solutions produced will enable firefighters to do essential theoretical training online in an engaging and informative way, at a time and place to suit them.Key responsibilities as our Digital Learning Producer:- Ability to conceptualise ideas into creative solutions and be responsible for specific storyboarding, design and development of digital technology- Create in-house interactive eLearning and blended learning solutions using a range of effective multimedia technologies to create engaging content- Ensuring continuous improvement of digital learning resources by keeping knowledge updated on learning technologies, eLearning concepts and developing own skill sets- Develop engaging eLearning solutions that meet the latest instructional design and media standards- Work with internal technical experts and the L&D Team to identify and agree how existing content can be converted into learning for our employees and ensure that all training resources are refreshed and updated.- Ensure that the eLearning and other technology learning solutions meet the needs of a variety of learning preferences.- Analyse learner responses to the eLearning packages and other technology solutions to improve and develop those programs working with colleagues within the Service.- Support the maintenance, administration and development of the organisation’s Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle).- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders within Kent Fire and Rescue Service, product sponsors and subject matter experts.What we’re looking for in ourDigital Learning Producer:- Knowledge of how to produce a high standard of instructionally sound and clear content appropriate to the subject matter and the intended learning outcomes- Knowledge and understanding of user experience design, including front end user interface and user journey design- Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices for digital content creation- Skilled in the use of eLearning authoring software such as Articulate Storyline and Rise, Elucidat, Xerte, or similar- Strong grammatical skills to write, edit and proof-read quality written content; with attention to detail and with the ability to spot design flaws- Skilled in the use of a range of software, including Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Adobe Creative Cloud applications or equivalent to create digital content- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a wide range of people to influence positive outcomes- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve department and organisational objectives- A minimum of a L5 qualification in an comparable subject such as Learning and Development, HR, Graphic Design or Film and TV- Digital learning content development/practitioner experience- Proven experience of producing a range of interactive eLearning/blended learning solutionsIf you feel have the skills and experience to become one of our Digital Learning Producer please click ‘apply’ today, we’d love to hear from you!Closing Date: 23:59 hours on 23rd August 2020
