Job Description

Building Services AssistantAttractive salary DOE Kent Monday – Friday (full-time)ACS are delighted to be recruiting for a Top 500 recognised Law Firm in Kent, seeking a Business Services Assistant to join the General Office Team.Based at Head Office in Kent, the role will require some travel to other office locations across the county and flexibility to cover holiday etc. You will report into the Business Services Manager.What will be expected from you

  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and have the physical capability to engage in manual labour
  • Ablet to demonstrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • This role requires an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a flexible and positive attitude and an eye for detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferential
The role is critical in ensuring the day to day running of our business and provide internal support across all areas of the firm to enable our colleagues to deliver exceptional client care. No two days are the same and tasks will include:
  • Maintaining our properties across Kent, which includes overseeing our cleaners and some repair work as required
  • Handling incoming and outgoing post
  • Moving physical files, supplies and services around the buildings
  • Recycling duties as part of our sustainability programme
  • Assisting the deeds and archiving clerk with management of documents
  • Delivery and collection of post/documents from businesses and the courts
  • Collecting catering/hospitality supplies
  • Placing stationery orders
  • General maintenance and decorating of buildings and facilities
  • Moving furniture if required
  • Assisting the Building Services Manager with health and safety matters and managing outside contractors as directed
  • Holding the emergency on call phone (rota basis) and responding to any issues that may arise out of hours
  • Keyholder for all sites
  • Occasional banking duties as required
  • Other reasonable duties to support the needs of the team
