Job Description

The Audit Manager is a varied and challenging role for a candidate who likes to deliver beyond expectation. The role will manage the audit team and take a hands on approach with client management.This is a role that could eventually develop into a full Audit and Accounts Practice Manager role for the right candidate and is coupled with ample opportunity to work with their own client portfolio.Client DetailsMy client is a leading multi-partner Accountancy firm based in Mid Kent, with offices in Kent and London.DescriptionThe Audit Manager will work closely with the Partners and will:

  • Provide visible leadership within the practice to support the growth of the firm.
  • Organise and manage work flow for the Audit team ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Review and monitor work closely.
  • Assess and recommend improvements to systems and procedures to deliver excellent client service.
  • Provide highest level of service and advisory support to clients.
  • Assist in accounts preparation and management of audit and build strong client relationships.
  • Be involved in recruitment of the audit team and apprenticeship development reviews with colleagues where required
  • Identifying staff training needs.
ProfileThe successful Audit Manager will have experience of leading audits, and ideally supervising a team.You must have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise internally with colleagues and partners, and externally with clients as an ambassador for the firm.Job OfferAttractive base salary and benefits package to be discussedThey are keen to hire into this space due to an increasing audit demand, and therefore will reward suitable candidates.Required skills
