JOB OVERVIEW; Business Development Manager (WMS / Warehouse Management Systems) sought by market-leading global supply-chain solutions technology company and systems integrator who provide software, hardware and consumables to multiple industries.CONTRACT TYPE; Permanent employment contractSALARY / RATE; £55K-£70K basic plus £30K-£40K OTE plus generous car allowance + fuel card, plus excellent corporate benefits package including 25 days holiday, contributory pension, fantastic office facilities including gym etc.LOCATION; You may be based REMOTELY with occasional trips to my clients office in Maidenhead.THE COMPANY;Established 40+ years ago, my client is THE market-leading global supply-chain solutions technology company with an enviable solution portfolio addressing every facet of supply-chain process execution and visibility. You will be part of a true market leading global organisation with over 1200 employees and your long-term career possibilties will be extensive!THE ROLE;As a Business Development Manager - WMS, you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and driving opportunities to successful close. With a background and good understanding of WMS and warehouse management business processes and the Supply Chain,you will position the companys value proposition to targeted customers and net new opportunities.You must be capable of developing relationships with the key decision makers and driving sales through opportunity planning, executive involvement and value selling.Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for WMS solution sales to multiple industry sectors
  • Responsible for full spectrum of business solutions to address business pains and strategies across the supply chain and relevant technologies
  • Interaction with customers and prospects to sell solutions and pursue net new business - this includes telemarketing and other lead generation and networking methods
  • Exceed sales quota - maintain forecast, pipeline and status updates in CRM (Salesforce)
  • Manage complex sales cycles while working with teams across the company including pre-sales, development, marketing, partners and support
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all functional areas and international offices to maximise the opportunity to drive business growth within the account base
CANDIDATE PROFILE;
  • 5+ years of successful WMS or similar supply-chain software sales
    • Demonstrated history of selling complex solutions
    • Hunter-mentality, able to find and win net new business
    • Strong negotiation and closing skills
    • Confidence and ability to interface professionally with a wide spectrum of customers including C-level executives
    • Extremely proficient at bringing in new business as well as delivering into an established customer base
    • Ability to develop meaningful business relationships at senior level
    • Possess strong communication skills, both in presentation and written format
    • You will be at an advantage if you have experience of identification, serialization and traceability within manufacturing if your specialism is selling to the manufacturing sector.
