Job Description

Talent Development Manager - £35,000 - £40,000Location : Macclesfield/Donington, hybrid working, two days at home.SuperBike Factory was founded in 2010 and we arethe largest retailer of used motorbikes in the UK and Europe. We have 2 Master Sites in Macclesfield and Donington, which both incorporate a large Workshop and Bike Showroom. The growth of our business inthese 2 sites is beating all expectation andhas led to our new site opening in Bristol. There are further plans to open more sites later in the year and in 2023.This is a completely new role, you will have the autonomy to develop learning+development within SuperBike.L&D is high on the agenda and consequently we are looking for a Talent DevelopmentManager to help us ensure that learning is seen as a strategicpartner to enable the goals we want to achieve at SuperBike Factoryand continually evolve our innovative thinking. Learning can be built into day to day work, should be fun and will become normalised as the way we do things, this is where we want to be.The RoleTalent Development Manager

  • Support our strategy on people development and implement this on a national level. You will need to liaise with SMT across the business and be a confident communicator.
  • Adopt a role of people development champion whereby you will actively ensure that all our people are aware of and can understand what their future career and development pathway looks like at SuperBike Factory. You will also need to assist managers andpartners across the business in knowing an understanding this for their teams.
  • Develop and ensure the smooth running of key national projects that focus on improving the experience and qualities of SuperBike Factory people.
  • As part of the People team actively seek to progress National People projects, arrange meetings and be proactive in setting deadlines for key projects.
  • Building, nurturing and maintaining effective relationships with senior stakeholders and leaders within the SuperBike Factory, being seen as a trusted advisor on people development matters.
  • Challenging ineffective organisational and working practices and structure, and identifying, designing and implementing interventions and programmes based on sound knowledge, research and innovative thinking.
  • Interpreting MI and making sound and commercial recommendations based on data.
  • Use your skills and knowledge to improve and adapt areas of development and training across the business.
  • Working closely with the compliance team to ensure standards and targets are met to keep the business legally compliant.
  • Ensure that you can work with numerous departments across the firm and understand, set up and assist with their people development needs.
  • Continue with personal professional development, especially in regards to people development and people management.
  • Network and build relationships with people both internally and externally

Qualifications / Experience / Skills
  • A proven track record of experience working in a people development/learning and development, ideally with a background in Human Resources.
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging and effective learning and development interventions.
  • Experience of working with an external psychometric portal.
  • Knowledge/experience of working with the UK Apprenticeship Levy.
  • CIPD level 5 qualification or equivalent is preferable, likewise any teaching/learning qualification is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching and influencing skills.
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in a persuasive manner.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
