Senior Quantity Surveyor£55,000 - £70,000kMacclesfield site*Leading technical and energy services company in the UK*Our client, a leading technical and energy services company in the UK, has been appointed to deliver a new Quality Assurance extension by a major pharmaceutical company. As part of the NEC4 A contract, they will provide the civil and structural design for thenew steel extension in Macclesfield as well as ground investigations to inform the below ground design.As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures, in order to minimise costs and enhance value for money, while ensuring the required standardsand quality are maintained.You will have an awareness of the commercial market with the ability to demonstrate successful relationship building between company, clients and subcontractors in engineering construction industry. * Educated to HND or Degree level in quantity or building surveying or a construction-related subject.* Demonstrable commercial experience.* Experience in administering industry standard forms of contract in particular the NEC suite of contracts.* Mechanical & Electrical quantity surveying experience in a building services background.* Commercially astute, numerate, risk averse & able to accurately forecast cost & sales.* Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.* IT Literacy and ability to use Microsoft Office.* System experience - CPA, Coins or similar.* Ability to demonstrate successful relationship building between company, clients, and subcontractors in engineering construction industry. * Sound understanding of the implications of Health and Safety regulations.* Experience in projects relating to the design and construction of cleanrooms/controlled environments and other such works within the pharmaceutical and/or other sectors (desirable).To apply please send an updated CV directly to the advertisement.
