You will be a data professional with a wide range of experience across data & analytics technologies and processes. The team delivers AWS cloud solutions and you will have exposures to a variety of projects. You will join a team of engineers who are spread globally, so you would need to be mindful of your delivery approach to ensure success. You will be a leader throughout the software development lifecycle, from the initial development of a technical design based on agreed architecture, right through to service. You will have a real passion for delivering well engineered data and analytics solutions. Flexible working is also available for discussion. Key responsibilities:To be aware of include having the ability to define effective ways of end-to-end delivery of the data and analytics platform, drive visualisation strategies to enable specific insights for better business decisions. You will direct a team of data and reporting engineers focused on developing the latest visualisation and computational capabilities for the big data platform. Being hands on with agile practices, especially being a SCRUM Master on a day-to-day basis will be essential for continually challenging the norm and pushing the team to forget the easy route and go after the impossible!Skills/Personal requirements:* Experience of working with Hadoop/Spark, NoSQL, virtualisation, data streaming, container technology (Docker), traditional warehousing* Knowledge of HDFS, Parquet, Spark streaming, HBase, HIVE, PIG, Presto, Sqoop, Mesos * Working knowledge in AWS Cloud services (EMR, SQS, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB, IAM, Cognito, Cloud formation, Aurora, Redshift, Glue)* Experience in one or multiple programming languages (Python, Java, R, JavaScript and SQL)* Hands-on experience of building scalable, high availability analytics solutions* Experience in DevOps, using continuous integration/development (Jenkins, Nexus, Git)Additional information call Andy on or email With offices in Northampton, Peterborough and Cambridge - our recruitment divisions include; Accountancy, Executive, HR, IT & Technology, Office, Technical Engineering & Marketing recruitment.
